Money-saving guru Martin Lewis has called on bank customers to memorise a straightforward three-digit code. The financial expert is determined to spread awareness of this number in a bid to cut down on the rising tide of scam victims.

He posted a video on X (previously known as Twitter) back in May, revealing the crucial number - 159. Should you receive a call from somebody purporting to be your bank but have doubts about its authenticity, particularly if they're requesting personal information, you can ring this number to be connected directly to your genuine bank without any fuss.
