Resisting arrest: Northfield Road

At 11:40 p.m. Nov. 21, officers arrested a 47-year-old Cleveland man after stopping him for a crosswalk violation in the area of Northfield and Warrensville Center roads. It was further learned that the man was wanted by Parma and Metroparks police for drug trafficking and weapons offenses.

The arrested man, who was in the company of a 27-year-old Garfield Heights woman, fled from officers, refused to comply with orders, and, incident to his arrest, was found in possession of suspected narcotics and an unloaded handgun.

Officers charged the man with the additional crimes of obstructing official business and resisting arrest.
