BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) - The Queen City officially gets into the holiday spirit on Friday with the annual tree lighting and Santa parade.
The Santa parade begins on Friday at noon at City Hall.
Jolly Saint Nick will be joined by Aero the griffin, Rally Cat, and Miss Vermont to spread holiday cheer downtown.
Then, Santa will hang out at homeport until 4 p.m. After that is the tree lighting ceremony.
Christmas carols begin at 5:15, and at 6, 100,000 trees will illuminate the 30-foot tree.
