LAKE CHARLES, La. (KPLC) - Cool but pleasant Black Friday weather is ahead before we track the return of showers and storms by Saturday night.
The jacket is a good idea if you’re heading out the door to do Black Friday shopping this morning. But temps will warm up from the 30’s and 40’s to the low/mid 60’s this afternoon as some thin clouds begin to move in this afternoon.
Changes arrive Saturday with warm and breezy weather pushing highs into the low 70’s. A passing shower can’t be ruled out during the day though the afternoon should be mainly dry before storms move in Saturday night.
With outdoor events going on including Light Up the lake in Lake Charles on Saturday night, the question will be timing of storms. As of right now, it looks like storms should hold off until after 9 or 10
