COLUMBIA, S.C. — The season of giving is now upon us, and many South Carolinians will be opening their wallets and checkbooks over the next month to support causes they care about.
But how do you know if charities are making the most out of donations?
Ezekiel Ministries, a Christian nonprofit, connects hundreds of at-risk kids in the Midlands with adult mentors in their communities.
“Having a one-to-one or a group mentoring opportunity can literally rewrite the trajectory of so many of our kids’ lives,” said Christian Markle, Ezekiel Ministries executive director.
The organization offers programs ranging from individual mentoring to afterschool programming focused on life skills, Bible study, education and relationship building.
