Asda , which is rivalled by Tesco , Lidl , Aldi , Morrisons , Sainsbury's and more, has reduced the Christmas tipple down from £13.98 to a just £10 in England and Wales.

The Sun newspaper reports staff have been told to enforce the rule at checkouts to stop anyone piling their trolleys. Asda, which has stores in Birmingham , has restricted customers to three bottles per person from November 27 until Sunday, November 30.
