Stefan Gartenmann admits he would never rule out a chance to return to Aberdeen in the future.

The Swiss international, who is currently with Hungarian side Ferencvaros, had a successful loan spell at Pittodrie from Midtjylland during the 2023-24 campaign.

The defender admitted it was a special time in his career and the Dons will always remain close to his heart, writes Record Sport .

Gartenmann stated: "Aberdeen will always have a special place in my heart. I would never rule out returning at any point."

It was a rollercoaster of a season which saw Aberdeen kick-off in the Conference League group stage and then saw Barry Robson lose his job.
