Works are progressing with a new extension and refurbishment project at Ferryhill School in Aberdeen .

The project forms part of the city council’s wider sustainability improvement initiative that aims to create an enhanced learning environment for nursery and primary school-aged children in the Ferryhill area.

A new nursery facility at the school became fully operational in August 2025, which includes a large, open-plan, and well-lit playroom and covered external spaces, seamlessly connecting indoor and outdoor environments to offer year-round access to play and learning areas.

The next phases of the Ferryhill School improvement project aim to:
