FORT FAIRFIELD, Maine (WABI) - The Fort Fairfield Police Department is requesting the public’s help in an investigation regarding a crash that happened Wednesday evening.
According to a post on Fort Fairfield Police’s Facebook, the incident happened just after 6:30 p.m. on Main Street. A witness reports seeing a dark-colored Jeep Wrangler strike an Amish buggy from behind, causing the buggy to strike a pickup truck parked on the street. The driver of the Jeep fled the scene heading east. The street was reportedly well-lit at the time of the incident.
The two occupants of the buggy, a 33-year-old man and 9-year-old girl had minor injuries. The horse was unharmed.
