MESA, Ariz. — A suspect has been taken into custody on aggravated assault charges after a multi-vehicle crash at a Circle K in Mesa, according to the city's police department.
Police said that just before midnight on Friday, officers were called to Alma School and Main Street due to a reported crash involving three vehicles, and two men ran from the scene.
When police got to the scene, a K9 led the search and found the suspect at a nearby trailer park, officials said.
Police said the suspect was resistant and non-compliant, resulting in officers using less lethal force. A K9 even bit the suspect, leading officers to take him into custody.
A K9 later found a crowbar that witnesses said the suspect had in his hand, according to police.
