Man hit and killed by vehicle on I

PORTLAND, Ore. — A man was hit and killed by a vehicle on Interstate 405 near Southwest Corbett Street early Friday morning, Portland police said.

It happened around 1:40 a.m. The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and is cooperating with investigators.

Portland police did not release any additional information surrounding what led up to the deadly crash. They have also not identified the man who died.

The Portland Police Traffic Division Major Crash team responded to investigate. Following the deadly crash, police officers closed I-405 at the split at northbound Interstate 5.
