DAVISON TWP, MI – Burim Shakjiri spent more than a decade working at restaurants.
But he held another goal in mind the whole time: owning his own place to provide home cooking for customers.
“He was looing at many places,” said daughter Barjame Shakjiri. “He’s always wanted to open a restaurant.”
Upon seeing the space at 7498 Davison Road and not seeing any other spots offering the same type of food, he made it a new home.
The name is a nod to Burim, but also his daughter Barjame and son Buran.
“I feel like a lot of our food is homemade,” Barjame Shakjiri said. “When you go there, the corned beef hash, the sausage gravy, the Tzatziki is homemade. Anything he can make from scratch and fresh; he does.”
