WYOMING, MI — A national nursing group has recognized University of Michigan Health-West for nursing excellence.
The American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Magnet with Distinction designation was awarded to the health system after it demonstrated that it met benchmarks for nursing practice, collaboration and patient care.
Kate Veenstra, chief nursing officer at UM Health-West, called the designation a “milestone moment.”
“Magnet recognition affirms the incredible work happening here every day and how our nurses elevate and optimize care for our patients,” she said. “This designation validates our culture of nursing excellence, celebrates our team’s clinical improvement efforts and recognizes our professional practice as nurses.”
