The family of a retired teacher who died in a horror crash in Manchester last month have paid tribute to the much-loved 'brother, uncle, husband and friend'. David Williams, 72, suffered serious injuries during the collision at Upper Brook Street on October 27.
The main road, which runs adjacent to Oxford Road at the back of Manchester University, was closed from near the Manchester Royal Infirmary (MRI) to close to the Mancunian Way with a large cordon in place near the W.H Lung supermarket following the incident.
Emergency services were called to the incident, which occurred at around 8.25am, after reports that a vehicle collided with a man as he was crossing the road. David was taken to hospital for treatment but sadly died in hospital three weeks later, on November 1
