A staggering one million people are ditching their BBC TV licence fee payments as bills are set to soar towards £200. The price of a TV licence is predicted to rocket to nearly £200 by the decade's end, according to reports from the Sun newspaper.
Projections from the Office for Budget Responsibility suggest the licence fee will climb from its present rate of £174.50 annually to just shy of £197 by the next general election , anticipated in 2029. This comes as the total number of licence fee payers is forecast to plummet by over one million, dropping to 21 million during the same timeframe.
