Alexander “Alex” Hloderwski, Jr., loved LEGO . He amassed a huge collection of the brightly colored toy bricks in his lifetime, was a member of the Lego Users of Central New York (LUCNY) , and was among the first shoppers at Syracuse’s LEGO Store when it opened in 2019 at Destiny USA.
But more than anything, Hldoerwski loved sharing LEGO.
He built his own creations and displayed them at events around Central New York, like the annual Syracuse Model Railroad Club Show. He also instilled a lifelong appreciation for the joy of LEGO in his children, Alexander and Adrienne.
So Hloderwski, who died in May at age 72, would’ve appreciated his kids’ decision to sell most of his LEGO collection to Wapi Bricks, a LEGO-focused toy store in Wisconsin.
