The BBC is facing one of its most turbulent weeks yet, as explosive allegations involving Nigel Farage erupt at the same time Ofcom releases a major report into the corporation’s performance. The row began after best-selling author Lisa Hilton, who has previously presented BBC documentaries, claimed in The Critic magazine that BBC make-up artists used highly unusual “natural cosmetics” when preparing Farage for appearances.
