The junior-heavy rotation for the Colorado volleyball team came through this season with a collective step forward that will soon send the Buffaloes back into the NCAA Tournament.

If there was a question mark amid that group, it was at the setter spot, as the Buffs looked to replace former standout Taylor Simpson. Rian Finley quickly put that question mark to rest.

Finley isn’t a true junior like the bulk of CU’s rotation, but as a fourth-year junior she is nearing the end of her collegiate career. Opting to move forward in life after this season with her degree in hand, Finley and Sarah Morton will be honored for senior day as the 23rd-ranked Buffs complete the regular season on Saturday at home against No. 24 BYU (1 p.m., ESPN+).
