HILLSBORO, Ill. (WAND) - Two men were arrested Wednesday evening following an attempted burglary at an ATM in Hillsboro.

At approximately 7:27 p.m. on November 26, Hillsboro Police responded to an ATM alarm at Carlinville National Bank, 549 S. Main St.

Upon arrival, officers found the ATM appeared secure and no immediate signs of criminal activity. However, the bank’s security alarm company later determined that unknown individuals had opened the ATM and attempted to manipulate it.

Hillsboro police said that bank staff contacted their security officer, who provided photographs of a suspect vehicle.
