For the second time in just a couple weeks, a large load will be travelling through the Edmonton area on its way to the DOW Chemicals site near Fort Saskatchewan. This load will be transported throughout the night of November 30 and the day of December 2.
The load, which contains a caustic wash tower used to remove acidic gases from process gas streams, weighs in at almost 900,000 kilograms and will be moving at a top speed of 30 kilometres per hour on its way to the site. Additionally, it will be using the entire width of every road, including shoulders, on its commute.
