The Met Office has issued four yellow weather warnings as a developing area of low pressure threatens flooding and travel disruption across the UK.

Forecasters warn heavy rain and strong winds will sweep across southern and central parts of the country on Saturday (November 29), impacting Wales, the Midlands and southern England.

Met Office Chief Meteorologist Jason Kelly said the exact track of the weather system remains uncertain, but heavy rain is likely to lead to "surface water flooding and delays to road and rail travel".

He added: "Rain will also push into northeast England during Saturday, some of which could fall as snow over higher ground when the system meets colder air coming down from the north.
