Former Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo has made a surprising move into combat sports by becoming a shareholder of Way of Warrior FC (WOW).
The Spanish firm promotes Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) events. The decision sees Ronaldo team up with lightweight Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) star Ilia Topuria on the company's board.
The announcement follows the 40-year-old's remarks about next summer's World Cup in North America.
