Ahead of Saturday's snowfall, local municipalities declared snow emergencies on Friday.

Beloit

Vehicles are prohibited from standing or parking on city streets during a winter weather emergency — which will run from 12 p.m. Saturday until 12 p.m. Sunday. Residents must move their vehicles to an approved off-site parking lot or driveway.

Beloit police and/or code enforcement will ticket and/or tow any trailer, semitrailer or motor vehicle found to violate the rules at the owner's expense.

Residents should remove recycling and trash carts from the street.
