SPARTANBURG COUNTY, S.C. — An Upstate measles outbreak continues to grow with exposures to people sharing households and at least one case tied to a school. And authorities say almost all of the cases involve people who are unvaccinated against the virus.

The South Carolina Department of Public Health said the outbreak has increased by seven cases to 62. This also brings the yearly total of known cases to 65.

"Six of the new cases are household members of known cases who were in quarantine," the agency said in Friday's announcement. "One case was an individual exposed in a school setting who was in quarantine."
