FRESNO COUNTY, Calif. (KFSN) -- It's opening day for the China Peak Mountain Resort.

Starting today, operators say it will be one of five resorts open in the state for Thanksgiving weekend.

Facilities will be open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. today through Sunday.

Not all routes will be open as China Peak says they need another good night or two of snowmaking.

For now they are hoping for more snowfall to add to the layers of white.
