Edmonton police have confirmed the death of a man in the Oxford neighbourhood over the weekend is a homicide.
EPS conducted a welfare check at a residence near 157 Avenue and 130 A Street around 4:45 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 23, and when they arrived, they found a man dead.

An autopsy on Thursday confirmed the man was 28-year-old Ermiya Zerzghi. The autopsy also confirmed that he died of blunt head injuries and neck compression and the manner of death is homicide.
An investigation is still ongoing, and police are asking if anyone has any information, to contact investigators at 780-423-4567 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
