Florida vs. Florida State is one of college football's marquee rivalries, with the result of the game helping shape the national championship picture for decades.

This year, the annual meeting between the programs doesn't have quite the same amount of luster.

The 2025 season has been a slog for both the Seminoles and Gators, who have a combined record of 8-14 heading into their game on Saturday, Nov. 29 at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium in Gainesville, Florida.

Florida State's season has been a roller coaster, starting with a 3-0 record that vaulted it into the top 10 of the US LBM Coaches Poll. Since then, though, it has lost six of its past eight games, a run that most recently included a 21-11 loss at NC State on Nov. 21.

Florida, meanwhile, is 3-8 and playing under an interim coach in Billy Gonzales after Billy Napier was fired on Oct. 19, seven games into his fourth season at the school. The Gators have gone 0-4 since the coaching change, with the last three losses coming by a combined 61 points.
