In new rules published by the National Park Service, Acadia National Park will begin implementing a $100 surcharge per person for nonresidents beginning January 1st.

Acadia National Park is 1 of 12 National Parks implementing this surcharge. In addition to Acadia National Park others with the surcharge include:

Bruce Canyon National Park

Bryce Canyon National Park

Everglades National Park

Glacier National Park

Grand Canyon National Park

Grand Teton National Park

Rocky Mountain National Park

Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks

Yellowstone National Park

Yosemite National Park

Zion National Park

Additionally the Free Entrance Days for 2026 will only apply for US Citizens and Residents only. Nonresidents will have to pay the regular entrance fee and the surcharge.
