As a classic One Piece villain, Buggy has been power crept by every antagonist since. Despite having eventually become one of the seven Warlords and even an Emperor of the Sea, Buggy doesn't even hold a candle to the likes of Imu, the Five Elders, and the Holy Knights.

It's safe to say his character is divisive among fans, with some hating him and others loving him to the point of wanting to see him inadvertently become the Pirate King before Luffy .
