ROANOKE, Va. (WDBJ) - No injuries were reported in a church fire Saturday, November 29, according to Roanoke-Fire EMS.

Firefighters responded Saturday evening to reports of a fire at Cornerstone Baptist Church on 18th Street SE.

Firefighters say they were able to extinguish the fire with minor damage to the staircase.

No one was in the building at the time of the fire, according to firefighters.

The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Roanoke Fire Marshal’s Office.
