The Arkansas Storm Team has designated an Alert Day for Monday due to cold air and chance for light wintry precipitation. Guidance is now in good agreement that a wave of light wintry precipitation will move through western and central Arkansas Monday morning, mainly as freezing rain. Temperatures are expected to be below freezing, and that could lead to minor impacts on bridges and overpasses. A light glaze of ice is possible on exposed surfaces, but impacts look limited at this time. Farther north, a mix of sleet and snow may bring a light dusting, with slightly higher totals in the higher elevations.
