SEATTLE - The No. 6 Oregon Ducks secured a berth in the College Football Playoff Saturday with a 26-14 win over Washington at Husky Stadium.
The Ducks (11-1, 8-1 Big Ten) are likely to play host to a first-round playoff game on Dec. 19 or Dec. 20 at Autzen Stadium. Oregon learns its CFP fate when the 12-team bracket is announced Sunday, Dec. 7.
This season marks the fifth time in program history that the Ducks ended the regular season with 11 victories.
The 11th win didn’t come easily.
The game’s biggest play came midway through the third quarter, with Oregon leading 19-14 and facing a third-and-10 from its 36-yard line.
Quarterback Dante Moore connected with wide receiver Malik Benson on a dig route near midfield. Benson turned upfield and outraced the Washington secondary to the end
