HARRIS COUNTY, Texas — Two men are dead after a shooting in the Spring area Friday night, according to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office. The alleged shooter said it was self-defense.
Deputies responded around 8:45 p.m. to reports of a possible roadway shooting on Greengate Drive near Spring Stuebner Road. When they arrived, they found two men with gunshot wounds. One man was pronounced dead at the scene. The second victim was taken to a nearby hospital, where he later died. Sgt. Jason Brown with the sheriff’s office said both men were in their late fifties,
According to Sgt. Brown, the shooting was initially handled by Harris County Precinct 4 deputy constables, who arrived to find the two wounded men and the shooter still on scene.
