Consumer spending is on the rise, and this year's Black Friday online sales reflect that trend.
According to Adobe Analytics, consumers spent $11.8 billion online during Black Friday. This marks a 9.1% increase compared to last year.
Adobe Analytics attributed the growth to steeper discounts than anticipated, benefiting some retailers more than others. For example, Walmart and TJ Maxx are expected to have a better holiday season than Target.
It's important to note that the growth figures are not adjusted for inflation. Cyber Monday is also expected to be a significant day for online sales.
