FRISCO---The Star played host to a handful of football regional semifinal games across the weekend with Saturday’s afternoon contest pitting the Lone Star Rangers on the home sideline against the visiting West Mesquite Wranglers.
West Mesquite was able to win the second half 20-7 in their first regional semifinal since 2010-2011. Lone Star was able to burst out of the gate early, creating a 40-0 separation at halftime that was too much to overcome. The Rangers accrued 466 yards of offense while allowing just 190 to take the victory, 47-20.
