DALLAS — Don't say we didn't warn you: Sunday is expected to be one of the busiest travel days of the year at Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport -- which, in effect, means it will be one of the worst traffic days getting in and out of the airport.
We saw the lines of cars trying to get into the airport earlier this week, as frustrated drivers battled the ongoing construction at the airport. But the busy week of travel is expected to peak on Sunday, in particular Sunday evening. For the whole day, DFW Airport officials are estimating 269,000 travelers will pass through the airport.
As a result, there's expected to be heavy traffic approaching terminals from the north and along the terminal curb areas. Terminal C could see the heaviest traffic due to the construction there -- airp
