ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) -St. Louisans woke up to the first snowfall of the season, a little shocked.

From the early morning hours, snow poured and, in some instances, caused issues for motorists.

Marc Steidler is familiar with the challenge of driving on roads when there’s snowfall.

“I think expectations are always low here, so wasn’t surprised to see it a little challenging,“ Steidler said. ”Just knowing in the first couple hours it was going to be tough sledding out there.”

While drivers had issues on the road, several took this as an opportunity to enjoy a St. Louis favorite on Art Hill.

“I put snow tires on my car just for the fact that I wanted to come out here and sled on art hill with my buddy Jules, it’s a little cold I’d rather be wearing gloves, but we’re still having
