The SEC Championship game matchup is set.
Georgia football gets another shot at Alabama on Saturday Dec. 6 in Atlanta’s Mercedes-Benz Stadium. Kickoff is at 4 p.m on ABC.
No. 10 Alabama (10-2) secured its spot by beating rival Auburn 27-20 Saturday night on the Plains.
Isaiah Horton caught three touchdown passes from Ty Simpson including a 6-yard scoring strike on fourth down with 3:50 to go after Auburn rallied from down 17-0.
The Crimson Tide dealt the Bulldogs (11-1) their only loss this season, 24-21, on Sept. 27 in Athens.
The No. 4 Bulldogs have won eight straight since then and clinched a fifth straight trip to the SEC title game when Texas beat Texas A&M Friday night. Alabama and Georgia won tiebreakers with Ole Miss and Texas A&M after all finished 7-1 in the SEC.
