When I think about all of the things to be grateful for this year, the list is abundant.
There are family, health, work, and all of the everyday things that make the list — and should — each and every year.
These are all general, sweeping aspects of life for which to be grateful.
Most recently, I was also grateful for something more specific: the gift of Broadway.
Last weekend, Oscar and I were in New York City to see the extraordinary Alicia Keys sing for the encore performance of Hell’s Kitchen.
Normally, the musical is performed with its outstanding cast, but this weekend was different because Keys, who wrote the music for the show, was in town.
Her singing “Empire State of Mind” and “Underdog” on stage, among others, was simply magical.
