SPOKANE, Wash. — Harrison Boettiger stopped 33 shots and was named the game’s No. 1 star as Kelowna Rockets beat Spokane Chiefs 4-1 in Western Hockey League action, Saturday.
Carson Wetsch scored twice in the win, including an empty net marker at 18:21 in the third period. Hiroki Gojsic and Tomas Poletin also scored in the win. Ethan Hughes replied at 10:55 of the third period to spoil Boettiger’s shutout bid.
Carter Esler made 25 stops for the Chiefs.
The Rockets return to action Wednesday against Prince George Cougars at Prospera Place. Game time is 7:05 p.m.

In other action, Dryden Deobald at 16:14 of the third period broke a 5-5 tie and stood as the game winner at Kamloops Blazers beat Penticton Vees 7-5 Saturday in Kamloops.
