Four people were killed and ten others were injured in a Stockton mass shooting along Lucille Avenue near Thornton Road, according to the San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Office. The violence happened just before 6 p.m. and may have been a targeted incident. The victims range from juveniles to adults. Stockton Vice Mayor Jason Lee said the shooting happened during a child’s birthday party at an ice cream shop and called the impact on families and neighbors heartbreaking. Deputies are asking the public for any information or video footage as the investigation continues.
