Jeremiyah Love moves past 'The Bus' to make Notre Dame history

Jeremiyah Love ran his way into Notre Dame history on Saturday night.

One week after tying Jerome Bettis for Notre Dame’s single-season touchdown mark in a 70-7 demolition of Syracuse, Love needed only one drive in the regular-season finale to stand alone. On the opening possession at Stanford Stadium, Love punched home a 2-yard touchdown — his 21st of the season — passing “The Bus,” and setting a new Notre Dame single-season touchdown record.

His 2025 campaign has been anything but quiet. Through 11 games before Saturday, Love rushed for 1,306 yards and 17 touchdowns, adding 274 receiving yards and three touchdown receptions. His total of 21 scores now sits atop the school’s single-season leaderboard
