UNLV had a lot to play for, and the Rebels took it out on the Nevada football team, in taking a convincing 42-17 win on Saturday night at Mackay Stadium.
The win puts UNLV into a four-way tie for first place in the Mountain West Conference, along with Boise State , New Mexico, and San Diego State. The tiebreaker will be determined by Mountain West officials using a composite average of computer metrics on Sunday morning.
Nevada ends its season at 3-9 overall, 2-6 in the Mountain West. UNLV is 10-2, 6-2 in the MW.
