A planning inspector has thrown out an appeal to build a new home neighbours had said would spoil their “lovely crescent’.

Residents flooded Solihull Council planners with objections to an outline application for a two-storey, four bedroom, detached house on a green space on the corner of Whitefields Crescent.

As the Local Democracy Reporting Service reported in April council planning officers had recommended the home be approved saying the site was already in an established residential area and would help meet a need for small dwellings in an accessible location.
