Britons have been warned it's dangerous to brush their teeth immediately after having breakfast.
According to Principal Dentist & Clinical Director Dr Murray Pratt from Forever Dental and Skin, this common habit could actually be putting your tooth enamel at risk.
Dr Pratt said: “People are often surprised when I tell them not to grab the toothbrush straight after they eat.

“The precious enamel that coats the teeth is temporarily weakened after eating due to the acids present in food, so by brushing right after you eat, you risk damaging it.”
Dr Pratt recommends waiting at least 30 minutes, and ideally up to an hour.
