Lando Norris is on the cusp of winning his first F1 world title.

Despite a disaster in Las Vegas, in which both Norris and McLaren team-mate Oscar Piastri were disqualified after it was found that their cars' skid blocks had worn out too much, Norris remains the heavy favourite to end Max Verstappen's four-year championship reign.

That mistake saw Norris, who finished second on the Strip, miss out on 18 points as the victorious Verstappen drew level with Piastri.

Norris remained 24 points ahead of the pair, though that lead was cut to 22 after Piastri won the sprint race in Qatar , with Norris finishing third and Verstappen fourth.

Piastri - 374 points
