Drivers along I-95 in Northeast Philadelphia were being diverted at Aramingo Avenue on Sunday morning as police investigated a shooting.

Early Sunday, police could only confirm that a shooting happened along the roadway on I-95 northbound, near the exit for Cottman Avenue, at about 7:30 a.m.

This morning, at about 8:30 a.m., officers could be seen walking along a closed stretch of the roadway as they investigated the incident.

Police may be searching for a vehicle involved in this incident, but officials did not immediately confirm this information to NBC10.

Officials also did not immediately say if anyone was injured in this incident.

But, according to police, an investigation is ongoing.
