Police are investigating a shooting that killed a man in Norwood.

At about 2 p.m. on Saturday, police were called to the area of 9 Hoyle Street after a 911 call, according to the Norfolk County District Attorney’s Office.

When members of the Norwood Police Department arrived, they found a man with a gunshot wound. The man was brought to Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The Massachusetts State Police assigned to the Norfolk County District Attorney’s Office is working with the Norwood Police Department to investigate the shooting.

The investigation is ongoing. Officials did not announce any arrests in a statement Saturday night.
