One person died and another was transported to the hospital following an overnight fire in Manchester.
The Manchester Fire Department responded shortly after 11 p.m. Saturday night to an automatic fire alarm at a 24-unit rooming house at 109 Foster St., the fire department said.
The Manchester Fire Department “initiated an aggressive interior fire attack” and searched all floors and rescued three people who were unable to leave the building, including one assisted by Truck 2’s ladder.
According to the Manchester Fire Department, one person was transported to a local hospital in a “non-life-threatening condition.” The deceased person was found on the second floor. The person has not yet been identified by officials.
