A town restaurant has been named as a finalist among other businesses across the country in a prestigious award.

Meze Grill Turkish Restaurant, in Stowmarket, is in the running for the best value restaurant in the British Kebab Awards for 2026.

It's named in its category among restaurants in Liverpool, London, Chesterfield and Doncaster.

The eatery took over the former Lezzihh Bar and Grill in 2024 and opened later that year.

Lezzihh announced in February 2024 that it would be temporarily closing its bar and grill in Stowmarket due to a "technical problem".

Only two weeks later, Meze Grill was announced to take over.

The British Kebab Awards celebrate the "significant contribution" the cuisine makes to the UK economy and British Culture.
